Oliver Spencer's Wes Anderson-inspired Fila drop is a collaborative win

In 2001, Wes Anderson's pastel-drenched, uber-stylish flick The Royal Tenenbaums hit cinemas. And whereas Gwyneth Paltrow's camel fur coat lives hire free in our minds, as does the scarlet classic Adidas tracksuit Chas Tenenbaum (performed by Ben Stiller) sports activities, it's really Luke Wilson's piped Fila observe high that we actually want had a spot in our personal wardrobe.

Impressed by these worn by Björn Borg within the Eighties, the sharply tailor-made observe high stands as one of the iconic clothes in movie. No shock then that Oliver Spencer, the British designer identified for his good tailoring, stylish knitwear and premium material choice, has centred his complete collaborative assortment with Fila across the jacket.

Following on from sporty collections with the likes of Scandi label Wooden Wooden, MSGM and, most not too long ago, Y-Challenge, 110-year-old Fila has turned its consideration to Spencer to offer its conventional gear a complicated rework. The limited-edition premium drop is available for purchase now and is available in eye-pleasing hues of scarlet, cream and royal blue. It’s infused with the signature tropes of the Italian label – slim-fit polo shirts, jersey jackets and tremendous brief tennis shorts – with every being given a smooth reimagining in step with Spencer's personal elegant aesthetic.

Monitor tops akin to that worn by Tenenbaum are available natural cotton and at the moment are ribbed throughout, whereas matching recycled cotton drawstring shorts are as supreme for pottering round city as they’re the tennis courtroom. Elsewhere there's super-soft hoodies up for grabs, side-striped joggers lower from extra sustainable cotton and, in fact, a tackle Fila's iconic polo shirts, crafted from a recycled cotton-polyester mix and carrying extra of the ribbed design. Though it serves its objective on tennis courts, and we are able to think about those that have graced them sporting items, for us Spencer's ultra-comfy assortment makes for supreme WFHwear.
